A Jack Nicklaus signature course, Sherwood Hills Country Club is an inland-links-type course with wide fairways and a good size of greens fit for relaxed and leisurely rounds of golf. Utilizing the native landscape, Nicklaus opted for native grasses instead of flowering plants preferred by other designers. Beautiful rain trees were also left to border many of the holes. The wind states the complexity of the 18-hole course which could result in a 3 to 4 club difference.
Water comes into play around the turn - most remarkably on the incredibly challenging par-4 ninth. Cogon grass lines the fairway and is nearly impenetrable as vegetation filled ravines come into play on several holes. Favorited by many locals, Sherwood Hills Country Club is only an hour drive from south of Manila to enjoy a tee time.
