This volcano remained silent for about 600 years.  Suddenly in 1991, with only very minimal warnings, the volcano erupted in all its fury throwing ashes and pyroplastic materials as much as 50,000 ft. into the atmosphere.  Now considered the biggest eruption of the 20th century. Mt. Pinatubo again has fallen back to sleep, but leaving a vast and tragic trace of devastation this generation will never forget.  This tour offers 4 hours of guided walking through the bizarre canyons it had formed just like those in the primitive ages.  The spectacular lahar formation is beyond imagination.
